Nala born at 34 weeks, via emergency C-section in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic.
She spend two weeks at University of Pennsylvania Hospital in the NICU .
This was a very hard and stressful time for the first time mother Unique Wormack .
Whom soon would be leaving the hospital without her baby.
Having to leave her premature baby in the hospital. Was the hardest thing she ever had to do in her life.
Unique spent sun up and sun down every day at the hospital next to her baby girl .
The hospital had an unauthorized staff member, nurse mommy.
The nurses would tell Unique,( I quote ) go home get some rest.
We’ll call you if need be, we’ll send you pictures of every moment.
On the days Unique’s would take them up on the offer.
That wasn’t good enough for the first time mother. She would return to the hospital within the hour.
Checking and looking over her baby girl her little cub.
The two weeks Nala spent in the NICU seemed like years .
With GODS grace Nala was getting stronger and stronger every day.
Baby Nala would pass all her tests an given the green light to go home.
HOW GREAT IS OUR GOD !!!
Words couldn’t express how grateful, happy , and excited her mother and family was .
Grandma Stacy sent a family group text message..
HEAR YE ! HEAR YE!!!!!!!! Nala will be coming home!
On November 25th, 2021 Baby Nala was out of the NICU and on her way home, just in time for Thanksgiving!
Her first stop was Grammy Stacy house.
There Waiting her arrival was her twin uncles , Brandon and Brian the first two family members to meet her along with Grammy Stacy .
Due to the pandemic, the rest of the village wasn’t able to meet baby Nala until later that year into the next .
